NFL Sunday Ticket
NFL Sunday Ticket Antitrust Litigation
The Firm represents commercial establishments, such as Davenport’s Family Restaurant, who purchased DirecTV’s “Sunday Ticket” football packages. The lawsuit challenges an agreement between the NFL and DirecTV that grants DirecTV the exclusive right to distribute out-of-market NFL games, thus eliminating competition for the broadcast of these games. We believe that, but for the collusive pooling agreement entered into by the NFL teams and protected by the exclusive DirecTV contract, individual NFL teams would compete against each other in the market and drive down the price of out-of-market games. The case is currently pending in the United States District Court for the Central District of California before the Honorable Beverly Reid O’Connell.
